Gaming 3SF in former oil container (denigrated into an art show space) at Tate Modern, London on November 8th, 12PC (vulg. 2019)
In teasing out from the imaginary ether what it means to play three sided football, a recurrent theme has been the gradual emergence of what I want to call replays - transmutations of past and future Games, whether played or unplayed, that are repeated in order to become triolectically enhanced.
In mulling over the evolution of the game to date I am drawn by the separated juxtaposition of the three pitches at Silkeborg, critiqued by Redas as a symbolic representation of the isolated normative programming of the tournament structure, being resolved via their Superposition/Overlap - where the separation of the three is overcome through their unification with in the TriHex. The playing out of the Superposition game in the forest at Alytus not only realised this unification, but was an additional development of the 1st Forest game - in which the enabling of the invisible 4th pitch and its playing out in parallel awoke the liberation of the trees as both goalposts and defenders. That which constitutes the field of play was thrown into doubt and the gaming equation considerably enhanced. The hegemony of the boundary, first critiqued in the Hilly Fields Stone Circle, when gravity and desire unleashed the shattering of the border, was then further expanded in the Moving the Goalposts game. The freedom of the posts to participate in our play as equals introduced a unique and liberating dynamic.
During the Perigination this triolectical development was also at play. The Revisiting of Taksim Square, with a view to being “guided by the psychogeographic nature of the terrain we encountered", introduced us to the interspecies possibilities of 3sf which none of us had yet imagined - and which are crying out for further expansion. I conjecture that this avenue of exploration would not have arisen if not for the instigation of the replay.
The game we are about to undertake tomorrow will unfold in similar vein. It is the triolectical realisation of a complex historical interplay - a synthesis in action. The pathetic semblance of a riposte by the Tate&Lyle and the Deptford beLeaguered to our initial MuTate game and its spontaneous birth of temporal resequencing as an active gaming strategy must be slapped down and simultaneously shown up for the pathetic attempt at recuperation that is was. During the Kaliakra generator we both empowered and the set the scene for the totalising Triolectical domination of the Mutation we will now complete; cancelling in real time the miserable excuse for 3SF which the 11th August Exchange proposed. With history cleansed, we are free to transform the Exchange, knotting tightly the spontaneous unfolding of events into the fabric of The Game.

Below is slightly detoured an official invitation from Tate’s asking to self-mock-up 3SF – this caused slight confusion and made the gaming inside the Tate Modern building possible in different time then that one scheduled by their officials – it happened in one of 3 former oil tanks and lasted for more than 30 minutes.
